Plans for Geneva Peace Week 2020 are officially underway. This year's theme is Rebuilding trust after disruption: Pathways to reset international cooperation.
GPW20 aims to galvanize leadership, build trust and contribute to transforming international cooperation in the wake of covid-19. With peacebuilding priorities more urgent than ever, GPW20 will collectively reflect on questions including: What role should the peacebuilding community play in a new era of collaboration? How can peacebuilding actors and other partners gain strength, unity and vision to successfully build peace in a divided and turbulent world?
We invite Geneva to join us and our community for the 2020 season.
Interested session organizers should review the presentation and recording of the GPW20 Information Session (held 7.4.20 online). The presentation outlines key innovations to the GPW approach this year, so review is important, even for seasoned GPW organizers.
The presentation includes information on:
- The Geneva Peace Week 2020 theme
- Key dates for the GPW20 cycle
- Required session formats and types
- New innovations in the logistical framework of GPW
A call for applications will launch at the end of April on the Geneva Peace Week website.
