GPW25: Peace in Action

Amid unprecedented financial and geopolitical crises straining the multilateral system , the 12th edition of Geneva Peace Week takes a forward-looking approach to peacebuilding, addressing the pressing challenges and opportunities of our time. As humanity grapples with complex and interconnected crises, from the climate emergency, funding shortfalls and technological disruption to rising geopolitical tensions, growing securitization and widening inequalities, the pursuit of peace demands fresh perspectives, bold solutions, and transformative action.

Under the theme "Peace in Action," Geneva Peace Week 2025 calls for adaptive, inclusive, and collaborative approaches to peace, emphasizing the urgency of reinforcing dialogue with action.

Anchored by key global milestones, including the New Agenda for Peace, the Summit of the Future, and the 2025 United Nations Peacebuilding Architecture Review, GPW25 will explore how peacebuilding strategies can be reimagined to amplify diverse views and local voices but also to remain relevant, impactful, and sustainable in an era of financial constraints and challenges to the legitimacy of peace institutions.

Through dynamic panels, participatory workshops, interactive exchanges, and artistic performances, GPW25 will serve as a catalyst for action, bringing together diverse voices, innovative ideas, and bold commitments.
