Geneva Peace Week Meets Addis Ababa is set to take place in Ethiopia on 7-8 April 2025 marking a significant step in strengthening collaboration between Geneva-based and African peacebuilding communities. This initiative serves as a bridge between global and regional efforts, fostering dialogue on climate security, conflict prevention, and sustainable peace.
Organized by the Geneva Peacebuilding Platform in partnership with the Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs, Amani Africa and Interpeace, this event will bring together high-level policymakers, practitioners, and peacebuilders to explore innovative approaches to peace and security.

A Plenary Session featuring distinguished speakers from the AU, UN, WTO, and diplomatic missions.
A Peace Dialogue focused on climate, peace, and security, highlighting the role of international organizations and African institutions in fostering resilience and cooperation.
2 expert panels around the theme Youth and Peace in Africa that aimed at strengthening global-regional partnerships in peacebuilding.
An edition of the PeaceTalsk in Addis with inspiring story telling.
A Closing Cocktail hosted by the Swiss Embassy in Ethiopia, providing a space for informal exchanges and collaboration.
