The Kofi Annan Foundation, Geneva Graduate Institute, Caux Initiative of Change Switzerland and Geneva Peacebuilding Platform are pleased to announce the fourth edition of the Kofi Annan Geneva Peace Address, a high-level lecture on peace, held every year as part of Geneva Peace Week.
The 2024 Kofi Annan Geneva Peace Address: Rising Peacebuilders will be delivered by Mary Robinson, first woman President of Ireland and former UN High Commissioner for Human Rights and Chair of The Elders. The event will also feature Zeid Ra'ad Al Hussein, Former UN High Commissioner for Human Rights and President and Chief Executive Officer of the International Peace Institute.
Both will interact and debate with young peacebuilders on topics such as fostering social integration, achieving equality between all genders, upholding human rights and fundamental freedoms and enhancing the role of civil society.
The event will be moderated by Ahmad Fawzi, one of Kofi Annan’s former spokespersons and Communication Advisor, and will be streamed live.
The event will take place in the Ivan Pictet Auditorium at the Maison de la Paix in Geneva, Switzerland on Tuesday 14 October at 6pm CET, as part of the Geneva Peace Week and will be live streamed. Registration to attend in-person must be done via the official website of the Geneva Graduate Institute.

Three young peacebuilders will interact and debate with Mary Robinson and Zeid Ra'ad Al Hussein:
Ecolint Orchestra, formed by motivated students and adults, the Ecolint Orchestra is the place where the pleasure of sharing the love of music is lived and nourished. Junseo, Year 9, La Grande Boissière Campus, will be performing a Bach Prelude on the Cello.
