Geneva Peace Week 2024 is breaking new ground by welcoming, for the first time, an artist-in-residence, Fernando Cometto. Our annual event, known for its deep discussions and reflections on global peace, will this year be enriched by a live artistic expression. Fernando Cometto, an Argentine multidisciplinary painter, will be present throughout the week, creating a painting inspired by the forum’s discussions.

Art as a Medium for Peace

Since last year, the GPW has had the intention of  incorporating art as a powerful means of expression and advocacy for peace. However, this marks the first time that an artist will actively participate during the week, engaging with attendees and capturing the essence of their conversations in a unique piece of art. Fernando Cometto will not only be painting, but also interacting with participants, sharing his artistic process and vision, adding a new layer of engagement and reflection to the event.
